“Be still and know that I am God.” is one of the most beautiful verses from the Bible, but it’s not easy to practice in this busy world. Mornings with Jesus will help you do just that—“be still” in Jesus’ beautiful and powerful presence.
For those who are seeking a deeper experience in their relationship with Christ, Mornings with Jesus offers a fresh perspective of who Jesus is (the Healer, the Son of God, the Comforter, the Good Shepherd) and what that means for day-to-day life.
With a warm and friendly voice, 365 short devotional writings on the character and teachings of Jesus encourage readers to greet each day by drawing near to Him and inviting His presence into their day.
Spend time with Jesus at the beginning of each day and experience His nearness and peace in a new way throughout the year. Each day’s selection includes: • a Bible verse • an entry based on Jesus: His words, miracles, and parables; His wisdom, compassion, and comfort; His mystery, power, divinity, and humanity • a “faith step” that will inspire and challenge readers to apply the day’s message to their lives
I received this book in exchange for my participation in the Litfuse blog tour. I received at the beginning of 2012, so it was a perfect start to a new beginning in the Word. Each devotional is written in a friendly, conversational tone that makes you want to keep reading even after the words stop. The encouragement from the devotions, the verses to ponder, and the faith steps at the end of the passages helps me to draw closer to Him. Written by some of my favorite authors, the devotions are great pick-me-ups in the morning and help me stay motivated to dive into the Word when my busy schedule beckons. Consider picking up your copy today. Be sure to check out the rest of the stops on the blog tour.
I’m giving away a copy of Mornings with Jesus 2012. Please leave a comment and your email address.
Writers’ Spaces Wednesday: Edie Melson
I’ve always been fascinated by other writers’ spaces. Some of my writer friends have beautiful offices. Others...
Lisa, how did I miss you have a devo out! I'd love to win a copy, but I'll be getting one even if I don't. 🙂
That would be nice to have in helping me develop better habits in the morning! I do have my own Bible but I don't have a daily devotional. Thanks so much for this opportunity!

Donna, the devo isn't mine. It's written by a team of wonderful writers–Judy Baer, Gwen Ford Faulkenberry, Tricia Goyer, Sharon Hinck, Keri Wyatt Kent, Erin Keeley Marshall, Camy Tang. I love my copy and use it every morning.
Jenny, it's a great book. I'm loving the different authors' voices.
What a cool giveaway, Lisa!
"Be still and know that I am God." I seriously need to repeat this to myself every. single. day. Especially weekdays. 🙂 There really is no better start to the day than spending time with God…not even coffee… 🙂
I've found when I begin my day with God, the road is a little smoother, and I cope better with life situations. The devo sounds absolutely wonderful, Lisa. And Be still and know that I am God is one of my favorite verses. I also like the NASB version of Cease striving and know that I am God.
Hi, Lisa –
This looks like a good set of devotionals – especially when it comes recommended by you. You have good taste – in colors, books, and friends! 🙂

Hi Lisa, it's always nice to read of a great new devotional book! Love your website design. It's so calming and inviting!
Looks like a great book. I love reading uplifting and thought provoking messages each day. It's a good way to invite spirit in each and every morning before the day sets in.
"Be still and know that I am God."
I repeat it over and over to myself in difficult times. I can stay up and worry, but why should I? God is in control. Which is why, I love that scripture.
Blessings!
Alena T.
What a good way to be encouraged to be a woman of the Word! And,I always enjoy Judy Baer's writing. Thanks for telling us about this, Lisa.
Thanks, Lisa! It's always nice to learn about a new devotional. Many mornings I pull all of mine out and go through them with hot tea and a yellow highlighter. It's amazing how often there is a common thread running through them. (Then my ears really perk up!)
Is the devotion audio? I recognize authors Camy Tang, Tricia Goyer, and Judy Baer. That's cool that authors have put this together. I'll definitely have to look for this devotion! Thanks for letting me know.
